Changeable Ship Interior Lighting
Hello everyone, my first post is more of a question / suggestion really.
I've been wondering if it has been considered about the possibility of having a "Red Alert" style lighting system within the players ship to allow for a change of mood and lighting throughout the ship when under attack or entering a dangerous anomaly, atmosphere etc whereby you can flick a switch and have the crew immediately know (or just for RP purposes since I love doing that) that a situation has come up and you need to be ready.
On the interior video on Greenlight it seems like there's already a very impressive lighting system in place and I was hoping that it would allow for different colours in certain situations. (By the way I love the blue lighting from the engine core)
And secondly, if yes has it being considered about if your supplies and power levels are low on board the ship that say the lighting gets dimmer as an indication for anyone not currently on a console to see the current ship status.
Loving the concept of this game, It's personally always been a dream game of mine to be able to explore planets and space with friends whilst having to actually survive and not just risking death from angry pirates ships.

Yes, the ship has emergency lighting and sound which automatically triggers when the ship reaches a critical condition. Voice announcements also indicate which systems are at a critical status.
The cockpit will include a number of override toggle switches which allow you to either force these emergency systems on or off, and there are also other options for voice announcers such as 'all crew to cockpit' or 'all hands to battle stations' etc...
As far as custom interior lighting goes, lighting is pre-baked into the ship to improve performance and retain quality. So probably not.

That sounds awesome, always good to have an alert state for a spaceship I think where the lighting alters or alert lights come on. Adds to the drama of it all in my opinion.
I hadn't actually thought of announcers but I'd very much like that, also it makes sense since people may not notice the alert lighting but will probably hear the actual call to battle stations. Or that we're all spiraling down into a planets atmosphere because somebody forgot to man the helm and is drinking tea in the meeting room looking out the windows. (That may or may not happen on my ship)
