any new info?

Hey whats up? was wondering if there was any new info on when the kickstarter/alpha would be released next month? lol don't mean to nag...just getting exited

We will have an announcement to make soon in regards to our kick-starter launch date.

We have recently updated our current alpha build which enables us to some fantastic things that simply weren't possible with the old build...I won't get into details just now, but it's a huge step forward for the game.

Although this has initially set us back somewhat (a lot of code / system stuff has had to be scrapped)...we are confident that the new system will both propel the development of wayfarer (shorter production time as a whole) and will make the game a whole heck of a lot better.

With that in mind, this may cause a slight delay in the kick-starter launch. But I promise you, it'll be worth the wait.

ok sounds great! will the kickstarter/alpha still be in September? or will it be pushed to another month entirely?

We're still doing our best and working a lot of overtime to try and keep to our original goal of beginning the kick-starter at some point in September.

well your mysteriousness has greatly caught my attention looking forwards to hearing about whatever it is that your doing

i would definetly suggest that before you start kickstarter, you are ready to show a lot of stuff, check out the star citizen kickstarter for good ideas on how to go about it and david brabens elite kicker for ways of how not to start it (he got through on his fan base... not his kickstart campaign)

another thing I thought of to ask just out of sheer curiosity.... When you have ships docked or stored at last watch or perhaps a personal base later on...will they be "stored" in a computer (like star wars galaxies ships were?) or will there be a giant hangar with them all sitting inside...allowing you to actually board them?

haha as cool as that sounds the possibility of getting it working and networked is something else its something we will have to look at in the future.

Well, at the moment your limited to having one ship out at a time, regardless of the way they are stored, you still have to physically board these ships. They won't all be in one hanger at the same time though. Maybe in different hangers, but you can only be granted access to one hanger at a time.

Or something along those lines...
