Yep. However AMD seem poised to make a holodeck within the next 10-15 years.

If I had to choose between Intel or AMD for who would get a holodeck first, I think Intel would be first to get there.

Very cool, thanks for the links! Personally I think that the articles are talking more about how AMD is just waiting for CPU power to get to the point that we could have something that fast, we could be closer then 25 years however due to a combination of Moore's Law and the current explosion of tech in NA and Europe

True, however they are dreaming aloud which is cool. this may be a silly question, but what is NA?
Also quantum computing seems to be very much on the rise, Google for example has just bought a quantum computer. (while I'm not sure it's a true quantum computer, it's rather close at any rate.

to answer the original question... i look for the firefly/serenity experience with my roomie and friends, the co-op experience where we manage a spaceship, explore, trade, maintain the ship, involve ourselves in politics where necessary and go rescue pretty rebel princesses/princes (or dragons :p )

I have only just discovered this game it looks like something I always wanted .I have been looking for something like Battlecruiser 3000 meets silent hunter wher you can roam the ship and allocate crew .Is the mini game still available
