Alpha launch?

Quick question? When y'all launch the alpha how playable is it going to be. I don't mean in the way of performance, I mean how much stuff will there be to do. Are we at least going to have one sector or just one planet, etc.

And on a side note I was wondering what would happen to the car if you were to drive it out of the bay into space, would it float in one place or would it fall endlessly through space?

also will it have multiplayer?

I have a feeling that you won't be allowed to open a pressurized Cargo bay in the vaccuum of space.

Buuuut, a true sandbox game would let you do that! Lol.

i think i will hide on the bridge... with the airlock safely sealed between the bridge and cargo bay while you experiment with rapid decompression... :p

We are going to have one planet and the space around it and also the Last Watch CWC Space station which is in orbit. We are going to try and include as many core features as possible, time permitting of course, which is why we are taking so long to do the alpha/kickstarter, we don't want to release anything unless we feel it is fun and playable.

that is a good approach, see if this alpha has any interest in people and get feedback... then go fix any errors and quirks the alpha may have... then release an alpha.2 and then the kickstarter...

i for one am eagerly waiting for the alpha

I have to admit, I have hardly played any games since I heard about Wayfarer, nothing else seems interesting anymore.... :-P

Yea we won't release the alpha until it is ready, there is no point giving you something that is unfinished or unready for you to play !
