Ship's log system ?

Hello,

I discovered Wayfarer through Greenlight and i'm very enthusiastic : this concept is just awesome!

My question concerns a little detail: the ship's computer.
I don't know if this topic have already been discussed.

I wonder if it would be possible for the crew of the ship to write an exploration report on the ship's computer ?! (A ship's log).
It could be nice for the RP if we can regulary complete a diary about our explorations..  

(My apologies if my English is not correct, i'm not English).

I'm no student of grammar, but that seemed like perfect English to me.  

As far as the idea, I really like it. RPing is definitely something I want to see in a game like this.  There is a thread about the ship's AI, but none of thought of something like this. (At least that I can remember. Sorry if I forgot your post ^^

I like this idea. I might not use it for role playing, but maybe using it keeping track of what you were doing last, or for "charting" the system. maybe recording prices and locations for buying certain materials.

Yes it seems like a great idea and i will relay it to the rest of the guys! Also if you find a derelict ship if you can reach the bridge or cockpit you will be able to check their logs to see if you can find out what caused it to crash !

This has already been implemented, the current alpha ship has a captains quarters which has a desk with a captain's log which allows you to document anything you wish.
